Our History

Jim Fisher Roofing and Construction, Inc. was established in 1979. The company was founded by Jim in Newberg, Oregon. The company’s first jobs were completed from a pickup and the “office” was only open before 6.30 am or after 6.30 pm. Jim Fisher Roofing moved to Sherwood in 1984 and grew steadily under Jim’s guidance. Our reputation for quality and dependability spread and we were able to offer fully staffed office support, open from 7 am to 5 pm every work day.
We kept focused on new products and innovations in our industry, developed our own 14 step safety program. Every employee is fully trained and equipped with the best fall protection available. We invested in our roofing fleet which is now 2-36′ conveyor trucks, a 36′ boom truck, three fully equipped gutter trucks, two 30-yard drop box truck, 4 one-ton dump trucks, four service trucks and multiple support vehicles.
From our beginnings our most important principles have been in completing each job correctly and professionally. To ensure a smooth project, each roofing crew has its own foreman and each estimator acts as a project manager to facilitate greater levels of accountability, communication and quality control. To ensure our quality is maintained we never subcontract out roof work.
In June 2008, Jim Fisher retired. Two experienced senior project managers, Michael Hampton and Michael Pender bought the business with the pledge to continue the focus on quality, safety and innovation. The two new owners brought fresh ideas and energy to the business helping it grow to new levels, expanding the roofing staff, project managers and growing the gutters and repair departments. Almost one year later, Jim Fisher Roofing was rebranded Fisher Roofing and our current brand identity was launched.
Today, at Fisher Roofing, we’ve made a commitment to be more proactive in helping people understand how to care for their roofs, extending the life of their roofs. As we continue to grow our business we look forward to embracing new innovations and technologies and most of all to forging new relationships.
